Hall Toll, Stavanger,
Norway
Hall Toll restaurant and bar opened in October 2011 on the quayside in
the former 500sqm customs warehouse in Stavanger. The clients vision was
to create an international contemporary restaurant experience around the
richness, quality and provenance of Norwegian cuisine.
Constructed in the late 19th century it is a prominentlocal landmark and
a fine example of Norwegian maritime heritage architecture. The space
is open plan and sub divided by lightweight slated and screens and polished
chrome curtains of steel. The choice of materials used throughout is intended
to reflect the strong vernacular aspect of the existing building and the
use of large scale furniture installations enable us to leave the existing
shell untouched.
